Trinity Bible Chapel

About Trinity Bible Chapel

Our Mission

To glorify God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission in the spirit of the Great Commandment. We exist to make mature disciples of Jesus Christ who love God wholeheartedly, love their neighbours faithfully, and live in a way that reflects His character, presence, and power. As we worship, grow in obedience, serve others, and make Christ known, we seek to glorify God in every part of life.

What Defines Us

Our Four Pillars

Built on the foundation of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11), our church is shaped by four key pillars — rooted in biblical truth and reflected in every area of ministry.

Proclaiming the authority of God's Word without apology

2 Timothy 4:2

Lifting high the name of Jesus through worship

John 4:24

Believing firmly in the power of prayer

Ephesians 6:18

Sharing the good news of Jesus with boldness

Ephesians 6:19-20

How We Live It Out

The Three W's

The Three W's describe what it looks like to belong at Trinity — worshiping together, walking in obedience, and working for the good of the body and the advance of the gospel.

Worship

We gather each Lord’s Day to lift high the name of Jesus through the preached Word, congregational singing, prayer, and the ordinances — offering God the reverence and affection He alone deserves (John 4:24).

Walk

We pursue holiness together, growing in obedience to Christ through small groups, discipleship relationships, and mutual accountability, being conformed to His image in the ordinary rhythms of life (Romans 8:29).

Work

We serve the body and the mission Christ has given us, using our gifts to build up the church, care for one another, and make His name known in our homes, our neighbourhoods, and beyond (Ephesians 4:12).

Our Story

Our History

01

Our Beginning

In November 2000, a group of Christians began meeting in a small warehouse in the middle of Cambridge. Out of that gathering, a church was planted called The Warehouse Fellowship. From the beginning, there was a strong desire to worship the Lord faithfully and reach the surrounding community with the gospel. The early days were exciting as the church began to grow. By June 2001, the congregation moved from the warehouse to the gymnasium of Cambridge Christian School in the south end of Cambridge.

02

A New Chapter of Growth

As time went on, growth slowed and the church began to feel increasingly isolated. Desiring to be part of a larger movement, the elders of The Warehouse Fellowship approached the leadership of Harvest Bible Fellowship and began the process of becoming a Harvest Bible Chapel. In August 2008, the church voted to join the Harvest Bible Fellowship. Those early years were difficult — leadership changed, the elder board experienced instability, and half the congregation left. Yet through that season, the church continued to pray, and the Lord slowly brought stability and renewed growth.

03

Ministry Expansion in Waterloo Region

In September 2011, the Lord opened the door for a bus ministry to the nearby universities, which grew to bring hundreds of students to church each week. As more people came from across the region, the church's name changed to Harvest Bible Chapel Waterloo Region. A second Sunday service was added in March 2014, and in February 2016 the church relocated to Woodland Christian High School in Breslau. Through this entire season, God saved people, many were baptized, and the church was strengthened.

04

Becoming Trinity Bible Chapel

In late 2017, following the dissolving of the Harvest Bible Fellowship, the elders believed the Lord was leading the church into a new season. In January 2018, the church became Trinity Bible Chapel. Though the name changed, the church did not — we remain the same church, committed to the same gospel, and grounded in the same Word of God.

05

Looking Ahead

As we move forward, we do so with gratitude for God’s faithfulness in the past and expectancy for what He will do in the future. We are praying for land to steward for His glory, for the establishment of a Classical Christian School, and for church planting along the Highway 6 corridor. We are excited for the future because the Lord has answered prayer before, and He has shown Himself faithful time and again.
