Applying God’s Word in Small Groups
Our small groups study the same passage that was preached on Sunday — moving us from being hearers of the Word to doers of it, together.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves… the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.”
Hearers & Doers
Pulpit curriculum is small group curriculum developed each week to correspond with the Sunday sermon. It includes a study to be done individually beforehand, plus several discussion questions based on that week’s text — all designed to help you apply God’s Word to your life.
Why It Works
It emphasizes the centrality of the preached Word in the life of the church.
It compels small group members to make Sunday morning worship a priority.
It encourages people to listen to or watch the sermon online if they miss a service.
It helps the church apply what is learned each week in God’s Word.
It ensures the church grows in unity together through the preached Word.
Each week’s pulpit curriculum can be downloaded on the sermon page. For weeks when none is posted, use our generic discussion questions. For guidelines on leading discussion, read our blog post on pulpit curriculum expectations.
Pulpit curriculum comes to life in the context of a small group. Take your next step and get connected.
