Their Work
Kevin and Stella have served in the Philippines for over two decades. While they originally focused on reaching remote tribes, God pivoted their ministry toward a vital dual role: serving at Faith Academy (a school for missionary children) and partnering with a local “squatter” church in an urban slum community.
At Faith Academy, they provide specialized education that allows missionary families to stay on the field. Increasingly, they also reach native Filipino children who attend for an English education—opening new doors for the gospel. In the squatter community, they minister to families facing extreme poverty, sickness, and displacement, witnessing God’s power to bring hope in the most desperate circumstances.
Called to the Field
“To God be the Glory” was the theme of the mission conference God used to call our family into full-time ministry. Stella and I both received Christ in our late teens, and His salvation changed our lives from desperation to deep satisfaction. We could not keep this gift to ourselves, so in 1999 we entered training with Ethnos Canada alongside our three young daughters.
A Lesson Learned
The Lord has taught us that ministry is wherever He has you right now. Early in our training, we were so focused on “getting to the tribe” that we sometimes missed opportunities to be used by God where we stood. After our first term, God moved us into a support role at Faith Academy. For the last 17 years we have served as Special Education teachers and ministry partners with a local church in a squatter community. It has been life-changing to see God work in the lives of those directly around us.

Held Up by Many
Even though we are not currently in a remote village, we are still part of the call to reach the unreached. By supporting the children of cross-cultural church planters, we help keep families on the field and focused on their mission.
We would not be here without faithful supporters, the staff at Ethnos, and our prayer and financial partners. We are only able to minister because of the faithfulness of many. We thank you all as we live daily to give God all the glory.
Would you pray for Kevin and Stella as they serve missionary families and the local church in the Philippines? Your partnership helps keep gospel workers on the field.
