Building Families & Marriage Conference

The family is not a human invention, but a good gift established by God from the beginning of creation. It is within the family that God has designed life to be nurtured, discipleship to take place, and His purposes to be passed from one generation to the next. In a culture that increasingly undermines God’s design for marriage and family, the beauty of this gift is often diminished or rejected. Come and learn about the centrality of marriages and families in God’s design for human flourishing, and how the church is called to strengthen and uphold them.

MAIN SESSION SPEAKERS

JACOB REAUME

Pastor at Trinity Bible Chapel, Ontario

Born and raised in Guelph, Jacob holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He became pastor of Trinity Bible Chapel in August, 2009. Jacob is married to his high school sweetheart, Joanna, and together they have six children.

NATE WRIGHT

Crossroads Bible Church of Tillsonburg, Ontario

Nathanael and his wife Colleen came to pastor Crossroads Bible Church in August of 2013. Nate graduated from the University of the Western Ontario with a degree in English Literature and received his pastoral training from Emmanuel Bible College. He spent five years in youth ministry before participating in a two year apprenticeship program at West London Alliance church under the tutelage of Rev. Mike Wilkins. Nate loves to teach the word of God and has a passion to see God’s people take their responsibility to study scripture, to make disciples of all nations and to serve others seriously. He also serves as the Canadian Director of the Ezra Institute.

JAMES COATES

Pastor at GraceLife Church, Alberta

James Coates is the pastor-teacher of GraceLife Church of Edmonton, Canada. He graduated with MDiv and DMin degrees from The Master’s Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Erin, have two sons.

TIM STEPHENS

Pastor at Fairview Baptist Church, Alberta

Tim Stephens is the pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. He started his ministry in January 2014. Tim grew up on a farm in Eastern Ontario and graduated with a Computer Engineering degree from Queen’s University and a Masters of Divinity degree from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary. He is happily married to Raquel and they have eight children. Prior to serving at Fairview, Tim served as an assistant pastor at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Windsor, Ontario.

TOM ASCOL

Pastor at Grace Baptist Church, Florida

Tom Ascol has served as a Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida since 1986, and serves as the President of Founders Ministries and The Institute of Public Theology. He has a BS degree in sociology from Texas A&M University (1979) and has also earned the MDiv and PhD degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He and his wife Donna have six children along with three sons-in-law and a daughter in law. They have fifteen grandchildren.
