Equipping the Saints

Parenting Conference 2018

By Randy Frey | November 22, 2018 | Leave a Comment |
Tagged: classical christian education, classical education, discipleship, public schools

This year’s parenting conference went well.  We specifically looked at education and the role that education plays in the discipleship of our children.  Pastor Jacob began by sharing the goal of discipleship and why education plays an important role in that.  Randy Frey continued by sharing concerns that he has with the public school system.  In the final talk, Dennis Doty, principal of Westminster Classical Christian Academy in Toronto shares a vision for education that will equip our children to not only survive in the world but to thrive as we disciple them toward a fear of the Lord.

We have a vision for starting a Classical Christian School at Trinity Bible Chapel.  We see it as a way to teach our children in a conventional way while giving them a superior education that will help them learn how to think for themselves.  Please join with us as we pray for the Lord’s leading as we continue down the road to starting a school.

In November of this year there will be a conference hosted at our church titled, “The Church At War Conference.” From what we have seen and heard so far, it sounds like there is widespread interest in this conference, for which we are thankful. However, I have seen at least one comment opposing the titleRead more

    By Will Schuurman | February 2, 2022

Context After three days of argumentation, our constitutional challenge wrapped up today. We challenged the constitutionality of our government’s capacity restrictions on churches here in Ontario. There have been various restrictions over the past two years that have drastically limited the amount of people allowed to participate in church services. On several occasions, these restrictionsRead more

Since June 2020, by God’s grace, we have had the privilege of baptizing over 100 believers, many of them recent converts, some of whom trace their salvation to worship services that we held during lockdowns. We have a couple more new believers lined up to be baptized this Sunday at our church, Lord-willing. One wasRead more
