Wisdom in Evangelizing Your Children

By Jacob Reaume | May 17, 2022 | Comments Closed |
Tagged: children, parenting

The following is adapted from a short sermon I gave at a child-dedication service on Mother’s Day. Introduction Many think that there is a recipe to get your children into the Kingdom of God.  “Maybe if I just protect them enough from the world they will be good,” some may reason. The problem is that corruption comes from within, not without.  Internal corruption can beRead more

John Bunyan Opposed Church Attendance Limits

Just over a year ago, the Province of Ontario seized our church building and charged me, along with all our elders, with contempt of court for the second time.  The Province, claiming to be acting in the public good, had set limits on church attendance, and we had no regard for them.  We, ourselves claiming to be acting for the good, opened the church doorsRead more

Property Rights, Free Enterprise, and God’s Law

Early in the first COVID lockdown, I had quickly publicly opposed the mandates, and in April 2020 someone criticized a post I made.  The individual said that we should be doing our part to save society from COVID just as our ancestors did their part to save society from the Nazis in WWII.  I took issue with that assertion and replied with a question: “WhatRead more

What Hath Schaeffer to do with Aquinas? And Aquinas with Lockdowns?

Winds blow trends here and there from time to time, and a recent wind I’ve noted is the discussion on Thomas Aquinas.  I suppose it’s been going on for a while, but it’s starting to blow more forcefully because I’m seeing the discussion more frequently.  I’ve wondered why the 13th century theologian has suddenly so many fanboys.  I don’t remember seeing him celebrated to thisRead more

Persecution in Ontario: Representatives In Ohio and Silence From Our Own MPP

On March 30, state politicians made a presentation at the Ohio House State and Local Government Committee hearing.  The presentation pertained to the state of religious freedom in Canada.  Representatives Reggie Stoltzfus and Timothy E. Ginter, along with eleven co-sponsors, presented House Resolution 194 (you can read the resolution here and track its progress here).  It is a resolution that, if passed, will urge theRead more

Our Constitutional Challenge: We Lost (for now…)

Just over a year ago, Trinity Bible Chapel was first bound by a court order forbidding us from gathering as a congregation to worship.  Believing that Jesus Christ is Head of His Church and conversely that the Province of Ontario and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice are not head of Christ’s Church, we decided to gather for worship.  After all, Jesus deserves a rewardRead more

My Public Critique of COVID Policy: **APRIL 1, 2020**

By Jacob Reaume | February 2, 2022 | Comments Closed |
Tagged: covid-19

On April 1, 2020, less than two weeks after the original emergency orders in Ontario, I produced and published the below video.  I published it on my Facebook page, a page which I have since abandoned for various reasons. I remember at the time also posting a sarcastic remark on my Facebook page akin to “My name is Pharaoh, and I’m here to save youRead more

The Parable of the Good Samaritan: Canadian Pastors and the Convoy

Truckers are springing from every Canadian community, channeling into our highways, and set to pool in a great-lake-size protest in the Ottawa Valley next week, demanding that our governments on all levels cease and desist from all COVID related mandates.  A Niagara of Peterbilts, Kenworths, Macks and you name the truck are pouring into the nation’s capital from Cape Breton, Windsor, the Frasier River DeltaRead more
