We Have Land and a Building

God Has Given Us Rehoboth

So he called its name Rehoboth, saying, “For now the Lord has made room for us, and we shall be fruitful in the land.” – Genesis 26:22

As a church, we have been praying for several years now that God would graciously give us land and a building that we could use for his glory and for the advancement of the gospel in the Waterloo Region. And we’ve prayed that he would do it in such a way that all the credit and glory would go to him alone. Several months ago, he answered that prayer! On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Northside Baptist Church in north Waterloo voted to give us their land, building, and assets and to encourage their congregation to become members at Trinity Bible Chapel. 1373 Lobsinger Line in Waterloo will be the future worship location of Trinity Bible Chapel.

The building is a beautiful facility, with a chapel built just ten years ago that can seat upwards of 600 people. It is situated on a good size lot and is conveniently located close to Highway 85 in north Waterloo. Over the next several months, the building will undergo renovations before we can officially move into this building for worship on Sunday mornings. The office space, gymnasium, and kids’ ministry classrooms are being upgraded to suit our needs as a church.

The people of Northside Baptist Church officially joined us in worship on September 1, 2019 and have begun integrating into our church. We are thankful to these dear saints for their humility, their faith, and their willingness to work together in this way. We pray that the fellowship that we share in the Lord Jesus Christ will be sweet and that our unity and love for one another will only increase in the days ahead.

We believe that the best is yet to come for Trinity Bible Chapel and we are expectant for all that God will do for his glory and for his gospel. God willing, we pray that we can open a classical Christian school in the fall of 2020. We pray that we can plant more churches. We pray that we will rebuild a Christian culture through the spread of Christ’s gospel. God has answered our prayers in the past. Why wouldn’t He answer them again in the future?
